很多人总是在说,老师我听力都听不懂,可是我的分数不错。其他人则会说,老师我的新托福听力都听懂了,可是分数仍然很差。其实这都是自己的感觉,就像前面人们对于世界的感受是多种多样的一样,我们对于考试的感受也是多种多样的。

而且如果我们再深究的话,就会发现我们的感觉都是不准确的。

说的有点抽象。具体一点就是,我们如果把一枚硬币放在眼前1厘米处,我们就会说这么硬币很大。但是如果我们把它放在月球表面,我们只能说他很小。换句话说,我们的感觉其实是有偏差的。

托福听力之中来,其实所谓的听懂了不过是4种伪听懂。

第一种就是听懂了大意,但是没听懂细节,而托福考试,考察的就是细节。这就好像是很多人都能够声称自己的看美剧不用字幕,但是实际上如果偶们要求这些小盆友们解释一下美剧里面每一个笑点的时候,几乎没有人能够做到这一点是一样的。我们在真正考试的时候也是这样,我们其实很多时候只是把原文的大意给听懂了,但是如果我们细究某一个细节的时候,往往只能摊开自己的双手,对这些细节无能为力。可是恰好托福的听力考察的就是这些细节,这些细节你听不懂,题目就是做不对,就这么简单,因为你是伪听懂。这就是第一种听懂了,但是做题仍然做不对的原因。

第二种,就是其实我们听错了,但是我们误认为自己听懂了。这是为什么呢?其实很简单,只要我么基础性练习做得不够,我们对于某些单词的正确发音就会缺乏一个正确的认识,比如说hot这个词,如果你去查一下那些标准的发音词典的话,就会发现,这个词的发音跟我们平时的hard这个单词的发音十分相似,这样我们就有可能听错。这就是第2种听懂了,但是做题仍然做不对的可能。

第三种,就是我们不熟悉固定搭配,比如说托福考试里面经常有absence of,这里的意思是缺少的意思,但是你认为是某人缺席没来,那么这里就会理解错。亦或者是cost an arm and a leg的意思不是说,要让我们缺胳臂少腿,这个固定搭配真实的意思是,花费很多,付出了很多代价。如果不清楚这些固定搭配,那么自然也仅能是伪听懂。

第四种可能,就是我们没有理解托福考试的弦外之音。举个简单的例子,原文：

m: do you know what time the train goes the city?

w: normally it’s every 20 minutes. but it’s weekend, so i’m not sure.

选项：

(a) listen to the traffic report on the radio

(b) take a later train.

(c) ron to catch the next train.

(d) check the weekend schedule.

很显然这里的正确答案为d,因为原问题到了周末时间表与周1-5不同,因此,最好的选择方案是看一下周末的时间表,去找一下准确的时间。

很显然这里w并没有直接的告诉我们要去查询时间表,而是告诉我们周末的时间不确定,因此我们发现了她实际上是在暗示我们要check the weekend schedule。这就是典型的弦外之音。这就是我们出现伪听懂的第4种可能。

(3)读电话号码总的规则是：国家代号、地区代号和具体号码分开来读,比如中国北京的一个电话读作86,10,87654321,对于一个特定地区的电话,一般来说只有7位或8位。7位的号码,读的时候前三位一组连在一起,后四位一组连在一起,中间有一个停顿,比如6254598读作six two five,four five nine eight;8位的号码,可以四个一组来读,考生可参看本节后面的一些典型例句。

(4)两个相同数字或三个相同的数字可以用double或triple来代替,比如2246555可以读作double two four,six triple five。
